At Carlsberg, our consumers are at the heart of every decision we make. We strive to continuously deliver products that are safe and of the highest quality, and to communicate openly in a way that is in accordance with our social responsibility.

We also understand that we have a role to play encouraging consumers to enjoy our products responsibly. We are aware of the harm that can result from excessive consumption, both for the individual and for society in general.

With this in mind, we have developed a group approach related to Consumer Issues that covers three areas:

  1. Quality: Our commitment to offering our consumers products of the highest quality and safety is reflected in our constant focus on quality.

  2. Responsible Marketing: Through our Responsible Marketing Communication Policy, we aim to ensure that all our marketing and advertising materials are developed in line with our position on responsible consumption, and to give our consumers fair and truthful information about our products.

  3. Responsible Drinking:  In relation to our consumers, we are 'clear on beer'. This means that we are open about the effects of alcohol and play a role in communicating the negative effects of alcohol misuse to our consumers. We develop local initiatives and work with our partners to ensure that our products are consumed in a responsible way.
Our progress in this area is strongly driven by local initiatives.
